iPad, the Price

I should like to like the iPad. I can
see that it might form the basis of a new way of working, or
playing, or working and playing. But the price is very important;
the Mac Mini is a pretty pricey piece of kit, but the only iPads
currently available in the UK are priced at over that. I do hope
that the Apple site starts stocking the cheaper iPads at lower
prices than that.
The iPad is an aspirational piece of kit; a purchaser is supposed to value the device more because it was pricey. By that token however it had better be useful as well: otherwise there might well be a section on that Internet Auction Site devoted to iPads; and that would be a shame ...
