We met last night at CB2 and discussed to web-authoring tools: Coda and RapidWeaver. The former requires you to know HTML, and perhaps CSS, the latter can give you a complete set of web pages, uploaded to the server, without such knowledge. I use RapidWeaver for this website (and several others).
The next meeting will be in March, but we have yet to decide a date.

The next meeting will be at CB2 on Monday 21 February 2011. Among other things we plan to spend a little time discussing web-authoring tools.
The food at CB2 is good, and reasonably priced; the WiFi is reliable and we’ll try a FaceTime video-conference for the first time in that meeting.

The next meeting of caMMac will be at 1830 in CB2. We plan to discuss web authoring applications, which is likely to include Coda, CSSEdit and RapidWeaver (I use the latter for this website). Anyone who wants to come and discuss other applications is welcome.
Another useful web-authoring application is SoftPress’s Freeway, now on version 5.5. It would be great if someone could come along and join in with a brief explanation of this tool. However, don’t feel you have to have a skill, just come along and enjoy the experience.

There was a presentation on the basics of Aperture at the last meeting. The next will develop the theme of imaging with discussion of compact digital cameras.

Most of us were a bit too busy to make 11 October, so we have delayed the meeting until 25 October, to be held in Clowns. There will be a presentation on Aperture which can lead to a discussion about other matters of imaging on the Mac. If anyone brings their digital camera along there will be an SME to help with any issued to do with that camera.

The last meeting took place in Clowns and I gave a short presentation on MobileMe, what it does, how it works, what it can do for you and how to mend it.
The next meeting will take place at Clowns on Monday 11 October and I will give a short brief on starting up with Aperture. I’ll also discuss briefly how to make your digital images look good quickly with Photoshop or Pixelmator if there is any interest.
We start at 1830, and you can buy a decent and cheap supper in Clowns.
